The composition of the product inside the joint follows the principle of "tighter inside than outside". This means that a sealed membrane is located on the inside of the joint, preventing moisture from the air (water vapor) from penetrating into the thermal insulation material of the joint. The illbruck ME210 inner diaphragm is responsible for this. The outer side of the joint is protected by a membrane with maximum resistance to weather conditions, long-term UV radiation, tight in the event of driving rain - the external illbruck ME220 membrane with optimized water vapor permeability. This allows for proper ventilation of the structure element. The joint between these two membranes must be filled with a suitable thermally insulating material. Mineral wool is intended for this.
