Tefond Drain (600g membrane - geo-polypropylene knit) is a protective and separation layer. It is an extruded high density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane with a mechanical edge-joining system.

Wall protection and foundation in

Tefond, thanks to its special structure and form, when used outdoors, covers the bituminous insulation layer, keeping the room dry and improves the thermal insulation of the walls of underground rooms:

• covers because it is placed between the bitumen layer and the backfilling material, protecting the insulation against mechanical damage,
• maintains a dry condition of the rooms, ensuring the invariability of the insulating layer and preventing water infiltration from the soil, as well as stains in underground rooms,
• separates, because after laying TEFONDU with embossing towards the wall, an air chamber is created between the ground and the wall, which increases the thermal insulation of the wall.

Foundations and slabs

Tefond can be successfully used instead of the traditional concrete undercoat. This solution is technically advantageous and noteworthy for economic reasons. Tefond is laid after excavation (to the level of one or two centimeters below the foundation base), leveling and compacting the soil. The membrane can be installed at any time, in any weather. Resistance to decay and load allows it to be used in any type of soil and in different material working conditions. The savings obtained by using Tefond instead of traditional methods exceed 60% in total. In addition, Tefond is resistant to chemical compounds, is an excellent barrier to plant roots and can serve as a separation layer for various materials.

Tefond as noise protection

After laying, Tefond can be covered with all types of floors. Its use improves thermal and sound insulation by approximately 14 dB.
